We recognize that pets are an important part of many people's lives, and also recognize that a pet may sometimes cause difficulties for other members of the community. We seek to respect the needs of all members of the community and of the pet.

The community as a whole must come to consensus on the admission of a pet to the community, and may decide not to admit a pet at any point in the pet's owner's membership process where membership is reviewed. The community may require a pet to leave the community by consensus decision at any time. Consensus must be reached for any new pet to be brought into the community by a current resident.

The community may, by consensus decision, delegate pet-related decisions to a working group. As always, these decisions may be overturned by the group as a whole.
